hunger in texas

many people would not believe hunger exists in texas. but it does. texas is actually the second state in our nation with the most people who are unable to eat 3 meals a day. it's a shame. most people don't realize this because they don't take the time to truly know their neighbor. (which has influenced my thesis project which i am currently working on.) if you would get to know the people in your community, you would realize the people who hungry look just like you and me. they are not walking around unclothed with all their bones protruding from their skin. they are just like you and me. yes, hunger needs to end all around the world but we need to end it in our own community first.
